How to sell tickets as a PromoTix ambassador

Learn how to sell tickets as a PromoTix ambassador to start earning commission and awards for your favorite events.

1. View an active ambassador program that you have joined

Once logged in to the PromoTix Ambassador mobile app, tap on the three horizontal lines in the top right hand corner of the screen to open up the drawer. From there, follow these two steps to view an active ambassador program that you have joined:

  1. Tap on the "Programs" tab
  2. Tap on an active ambassador program

2. (Method 1) Use the point-of-sale system

 

 

Using the PromoTix Ambassador mobile app, you can sell tickets to your friends using the point-of-sale system inside of the mobile app.

Simply follow these steps:

  1. Tap on the "Open sales" button. NOTE: if your ambassador program has disabled ticket sales, then you will not be able to access this button.
  2. Add tickets to the shopping cart.
  3. Enter in your customer's information on the "Buyer Info" screen. IMPORTANT: double check that the buyer's email address is correct, because this is how your customer will receive their ticket(s).
  4. On the Payment screen, enter in your customer's credit card information, or tap on the "Accept cash" option to accept cash. IMPORTANT: when selling tickets for cash, your debit / credit card attached to your PromoTix account will be charged, minus any commission earned.

NOTE: you can see how much commission you will earn on an order before processing it.

3. (Method 2) Share your affiliate link with friends

When you join an ambassador program, you will automatically be given a unique tracking link that you can share with your friends to earn credit on tickets that they purchase.

To copy your affiliate link, simply click on the "My affiliate link" button.

NOTE: if your ambassador program has disabled ticket sales, then you will not be able to access this button.

4. (Method 3) Send automated email reminders

If one of your friends isn't ready to purchase their ticket(s) yet, you can enroll them in an automated email sequence which will send once every 48 hours. Once your friend completes their purchase, you will be notified and receive credit for the sale. Your friend will also be automatically unenrolled from the email sequence after completing their purchase.

You can manage any email reminders you've already created, and manually unenroll recipients at any time.

To enroll one of your friends in an automated email sequence:

  1. On the ambassador program screen, scroll down until you see the "Email Reminders" section. NOTE: if your ambassador program has disabled ticket sales, then you will not be able to access email reminders.
  2. Tap on the "+ New" button.
  3. Enter in your friend's name and email address.
  4. Tap on the "Send email reminder" button.

4. Don't forget to credit your ticket sales towards awards

In addition to earning commission, your event organizer may be offering special awards if you sell a certain number of tickets. You can credit your ticket sales towards these awards.

To credit your ticket sales towards an award:

  1. On the ambassador program screen, scroll down and then tap on the "Earn awards" button.
  2. Find a "Make sales" task, located below an award you would like to earn.
  3. If you have sold tickets that haven't been credited to an award yet, then the button next to the task will say "Tap Here!"
  4. By tapping on the button, all of your uncredited ticket sales will be credited towards that task. NOTE: this action cannot be undone, so make sure that you would like to credit your ticket sales towards the selected award.
