How to attach location data to your photos

(Last Updated 2/22/22) When uploading photos to the PromoTix Ambassador mobile app, your event organizer may want to see the exact locations of where your photos were taken. In order to attach location data to your photos, there are certain settings that need to be activated on your device before taking them. Here are the instructions: 1. (iOS) Open your settings app, and then tap on "Privacy" 2. (iOS) Tap on "Location Services" 3. (iOS) Enable Location Services, and then tap on "Camera" 4. (iOS) Select "While Using the App," and enable "Precise Location" Congratulations! You are now ready to take photos and upload them to the PromoTix Ambassador mobile app. Location data will be attached to all of your photos. 1. (Android) Open Camera app, and then open settings NOTE: instructions may differ depending on your Android device. Most of the time, location permissions can be found in your Camera app. 2. (Android) Tap on "save settings" 3. (Android) Enable "Save location" setting Congratulations! How to upload photos as a PromoTix ambassador

(Last Updated 12/30/21) Learn how to upload photos to earn awards on the PromoTix Ambassador mobile app. IMPORTANT: in order for your event organizer to see where your uploaded photos were taken, you will need to turn on location permissions on your device's camera app. iOS 👉 Open your settings app. Tap on "Privacy," and then tap on "Location Services." Tap on "Camera," and then select "While Using the App." Android 👉 Open your Camera app, and then navigate to your camera settings. Look for the "Location tag" or "Save location" setting, and then enable it. 1. View an active ambassador program that you have joined Tap on the three horizontal lines in the top right hand corner of the screen to open up the drawer. From there, follow these two steps to view an active ambassador program that you have joined: Tap on the "Programs" tab. Tap on an active ambassador program. 2. Tap on the "Earn awards" button Scroll down and then tap on the "Earn awards" button. 3. Tap on the "Upload" button If your event organizer is offering an award that requires you to upload photos, you will see an "Upload" button next to the task. Tap on the button to upload your first photo. NOTE: there may be multiple awards that require you to upload photos. Start by scrolling through all of the awards, and then starting working on the award that you would like to earn first. 4. Select either the camera or gallery option Select the "Camera" option to take photos using your camera, and select the "Gallery" option to upload photos from your gallery. You can upload up to (5) photos at a time from your gallery. NOTE: once a photo is uploaded it can only be deleted by the event organizer, so double check your photos before you upload them!     How to share social media posts as a PromoTix ambassador

    (Last Updated 12/29/21) Using the PromoTix Ambassador mobile app, you can earn awards by promoting events on social media and tracking your posts in the app. The PromoTix Ambassador mobile app is currently integrated with the following social media platforms: Facebook Twitter Instagram 1. Connect your social media accounts In order to track your social media posts, you will need to connect your social media accounts to the PromoTix Ambassador mobile app. If you do not connect an account, you simply won't be able to track your posts for that particular platform. While logged in to the PromoTix Ambassador mobile app, tap on the three horizontal lines in the top right hand corner of the screen. Tap on the small gear icon. Scroll down until you see the "Facebook account URL" and "Instagram account URL" fields. Copy and paste your Facebook account URL into the field. TIP: login to your Facebook account using a web browser, view your profile, and then copy the URL. Copy and paste your Instagram account URL into the field. TIP: login to your Instagram account using a web browser, view your profile, and then copy the URL. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and then tap on "Save." To connect your Twitter account: Tap on the "Notifications" tab at the top of the screen. Tap on the "Connect" button next to the Twitter logo. Follow the on-screen prompts to connect your Twitter account. 1. Select a social media platform to post on Tap on the social media platform that you would like to post on. 6. Create your post from scratch, or select a template You can tap on the "Social template" dropdown menu to select a preconfigured template that your event organizer has created for you.
