How to edit customer details

If one of your customers misspelled their email address when purchasing tickets to your event, you may have to edit the order details in order to correct it. This article will show you how to edit an order on PromoTix.

NOTE: you can also edit order details using the PromoTix Organizer mobile app. For the purposes of this tutorial, we will be using the PromoTix web application.

1. Select your event and go to "Orders"

2. Locate an order and click "Edit  customer details"

Using the filters at the top of the screen, locate the order that you need to edit customer details for. Once you've found it, click on the "Actions" dropdown menu, and then click on "Edit customer details".

3. Edit buyer & attendee information

On this screen, you can edit the purchaser's information. Click on the "Edit item Info" button to edit the attendee information for each ticket on the order.

Don't forget to click "Save Changes" once you're done.

IMPORTANT: if you edit the email address on this screen, all existing tickets on the order will be canceled, and new tickets will be re-issued to the new email address.

 5. How to edit order details for a guest

1000002240If you need to edit a guests information, first click on the "Guest List" tab. Then, use the search bar at the top of the screen to find the guest you're looking for. Once you've found the guest, click on the "Actions" dropdown menu, and then click on "Edit Guest."

From here, you will be able to edit the guests first name, last name, email address, and add or remove tickets.

IMPORTANT: if you edit a guests email address, all of the guests tickets will be canceled, and new tickets will be re-issued to the new email address. Any changes to a guests tickets will also cancel all of the guests tickets and re-issue new ones.
