Update: As of 2020, PromoTix is now free for free events, and for event organizers. Attendees pay a small fee. You can sell paid tickets without incurring any per-ticket fees on PromoTix for you or attendees, when you purchase a Professional Enterprise annual software license subscription. The biggest industry problem Did you know that the average ticketing service fee in the U.S. is 27%?1 For far too long, event organizers have been getting their profits squeezed from all angles: from high ticketing fees to increasing costs for production and performers, 68% of music festival organizers reported profitability as their biggest challenge.
"Here today, and gone tomorrow"
What is a street team anyway...? A street team (or ambassador program) is a selected group of people that engage with your social media content, hand out promotional materials, and help generate additional revenue for you. Typically, street team members are rewarded with discounts, free tickets, and exclusive perks related to your products or events.
"It’s our 10th anniversary and we’re going big" - The Werk Out Music And Arts Festival Anniversaries are always fun... and ten year anniversaries are even better. For the past decade, festival-goers from all over the Country have travelled from far and away to attend The Werk Out Music And Arts Festival, which has since become a serious player in the Midwest music festival scene. The 3 day camping, music, and arts festival is taking place this year, August 1-3, 2019 at Legend Valley Concert Venue & Campground in Thornville, OH.
"(Heard) is dedicated to creating dynamic music events with the feel and ingenuity of warehouse style parties, all in the name of the fan experience" If you're familiar with the Austin music scene, then you're no stranger to HEARD Presents. HEARD has been showcasing fresh emerging talent at Empire Control Room & Garage and The Parish - two frequently visited venues in Austin, TX for the past several years, as well as Waterloo Music Festival, one of Austin's premiere camping music festivals.
Ricky Hong is a hugely successful PromoTix user and a street team member for Backwoods at Mulberry Mountain, a music festival in Ozark, AR. Here is what Ricky had to say:

Recently I got to catch up with Chase Myska, a street team member who has achieved incredible success promoting for Backwoods at Mulberry Mountain through PromoTix. Here is what Chase had to say:
How can I sell more tickets for my upcoming events? This is the one question every promoter and event organizer asks themselves constantly. If you're in the industry of booking talent, producing, and marketing events, then ticket sales are most likely the lifeblood of your business. Even if you are a promoter that turns a profit only after attendees walk through the door (for example, alcohol sales), the statement still holds true. Think about it: in order to throw a successful party, you need to have people walk through that door - and in order for people to show up, you need to sell tickets!
